can’t trust my thoughts

my emotions

feelings

my self is supressed

pushed down

and the only thing that comes up

is pain

and a reptilian

soulless

survival

but I still can walk

still move

eat

sometimes sleep

and though the light is being suffocated

it has yet to go out
